SACRASEC explores the role of religious vigilantes in mega-cities of the Global South, examining how they gain authority and their relationship with state actors. The project focuses on the dynamics of religion and violence, providing insights into alternative governance structures in urban environments.
In mega-cities of the Global South, state agencies often lack the capacity to provide infrastructure and security to all citizens.
