This project aims to explore the genetic and protein networks that regulate metabolic pathways in plants, particularly during development and stress responses. It involves setting up technologies for metabolite analysis and screening a large population of tomato mutants to identify novel genes and their functions.
The term METABOLISM describes all the chemical reactions and interactions that take place in a biological system.
