The SAVER project focuses on improving power conversion and battery charging systems for aerospace applications. It aims to develop an active AC/DC converter and enhance lithium-ion battery capabilities, ensuring safety and efficiency in electrical aircraft.
The SAVER project addresses the task of power conversion with battery charging.To overcome the low power quality of passive converters, the SAVER concept consists of two parts, an AC/DC converter and a Li-ion battery, and allows key advantages such as smaller passive components, lower weight, higher efficiency and higher power density.The converter moves from passive to high-frequency active switching with forced cooling.
