This project evaluates the impact of school food policies on childhood obesity and student outcomes. It examines the effects of banning sugary drinks, providing healthier lunches, and allowing off-campus food purchases, aiming to inform better dietary policies in schools.
Obesity rates have nearly tripled since the 1980’s in the United States and in many European countries, and this rise has been particularly alarming with regards to children.
To combat childhood obesity, policy makers have increasingly been examining school food environments.
