The ScientistsAcrossPortugal_09 project focuses on improving public perceptions of scientists and their work through engaging events in multiple cities. It aims to foster a better understanding of the role of science in society, targeting diverse audiences including children, students, and professionals.
The Portuguese research landscape has undergone a profound transformation in the last 15 years.
Several initiatives have already taken place in Portugal in order to close the still existing gap between science and society, promote the development of positive attitudes towards science and technology and to have the public at large to better understand the central role of scientists and the key benefits that they bring to society.
