The project focuses on understanding and controlling a new light-emitting phenomenon called clusteroluminescence in polymers. By manipulating polymer structures, it aims to develop smart materials with applications in electronics and bioimaging.
Clusteroluminescence (CL) is a recently discovered phenomenon, in which ‘through space’ interactions in non-conjugated structures, can emit bright light (e.g. starch).
