The SEARCH project supports the licensing of the MYRRHA nuclear system by studying the chemical behavior of fuel and coolant under various conditions. It focuses on safety assessments related to fuel leakage and the interactions between materials, aiming to ensure public safety in nuclear energy applications.
In accordance with the ESNII roadmap MYRRHA will be the first HLM cooled nuclear system to be deployed in Europe.
The SEARCH project aims to support the licensing process of MYRRHA by investigating the safe chemical behaviour of the fuel and coolant in the reactor.
