The SecurEau project aims to enhance the resilience of drinking water distribution systems against contamination. It focuses on detecting water quality changes, identifying contamination sources, and developing efficient decontamination procedures to ensure rapid restoration of safe water supply.
Vulnerability of drinking water distribution systems to deliberate attacks, which would have major public health, economic and psychosocial consequences, is one of the main issues of concern to regulatory agencies, and water utilities.
