This project investigates the role of specific enzymes in liver cancer development and metabolic regulation. It aims to understand how these enzymes modify proteins and chromatin, influencing liver functions and potentially leading to new therapeutic strategies.
In this proposal we will study the role of histone methytransferases Set9, PR-SET7, Smyd2, Smyd3 and the demethylase LSD1 in hepatocarcinogenesis and in the regulation of hepatic metabolic pathways.The hypothesis raised here suggests that
