This research explores sexual dimorphism in gene expression using brine shrimp as a model. It aims to understand how sexual conflict influences gene regulation by comparing sexual and asexual species.
Males and females display profound differences in phenotype, physiology and behavior, and understanding the evolutionary forces driving this diversity is a long-standing goal in evolutionary biology.
