This project investigates how cells determine their shape, focusing on the mechanisms behind bacterial cell wall morphogenesis. It aims to understand the roles of the bacterial cytoskeleton and the molecular processes involved in cell development.
A fundamental question in cell biology is how cells determine their shape.
Each life form is surrounded by boundary layers that protect, communicate with the environment, and may confer shape and rigidity.
