SHOTPROS investigates how psychological and contextual factors affect police decision-making in high-stress situations. The project aims to create a Virtual Reality training solution to improve performance and decision-making under pressure for law enforcement officers.
The number of incidents where police officers are first responders in critical situations with severe threat circumstances has drastically increased. A major challenge for these first responding officers is to properly evaluate the situation and decide how to further proceed and to assess and choose the most appropriate strategy.
