This project develops innovative smart textiles that can sense movement and body signals. By creating a generic sensing fabric, it aims to produce garments that are indistinguishable from regular clothing while integrating wearable technology for health and fitness applications.
We propose a fundamentally new approach for creating smart textiles and functional garments.
The basic idea is to separate sensing textile production, garment manufacturing, the hardware platform, and the software implementation by well-defined abstractions and interfaces.
