The SMarble project focuses on enhancing inspection methods for industrial pipe networks and mixing tanks using innovative floats from the Phoenix project. These floats measure internal movement without propulsion, providing valuable data to optimize processes and reduce energy consumption in operational environments.
Pipe networks for both industry and utilties face a major replacement investment over the next decenium as many of these networks are reaching the age for which they where build.
Without proper inspection techniques however we may be replace perfectly good pipes and leaving bad ones as we simply do not know their state.
Industrial mixing tanks are heavely used in the proces industry and are a major energy user in plants as larger masses have to be brought into motion.
