SMART-QDEV aims to explore the strong light-matter interaction in semiconductor devices to create innovative technologies with ultra-fast and quantum functionalities. The project focuses on developing new device concepts that leverage unique optical properties for advanced applications.
This project will combine for the first time strong light-matter coupling in quantum-confined electronic systems with the optical and electronic non-linearities of semiconductor heterostructures: we will develop device concepts with unique ultra-fast, non-linear and quantum functionalities.
