The SmartCOMBI project aims to enhance energy efficiency in modern homes by developing a combined air handling unit and heat pump. This innovative system optimizes ventilation and heating, reducing energy waste while improving indoor air quality and comfort.
To improve energy efficiency, modern “zero-energy” homes are highly insulated.
As a consequence homes can no longer ventilate resulting in poor indoor air quality.
