This project aims to enhance seafood traceability, focusing on snapper fish species. It employs molecular techniques to analyze global trade data, evaluate species sold as snapper, and trace products back to their origins, promoting sustainable seafood markets.
Despite the precarious state of the world’s marine ecosystems, it is now widely acknowledged that ‘where there is a sea, there are pirates’.
