SnowShifts aims to improve understanding of snow dynamics and regime shifts in response to climate change. The project combines remote sensing and numerical modeling to analyze snow properties and trends, providing critical data for refining climate models and predicting future snow scenarios.
The UN Decade of Action on Cryospheric Sciences aims to reduce uncertainties regarding the causes and effects of changes in snow, ice, and permafrost.
