This project investigates how social groups of Red Knots manage misalignment between their internal circadian clocks and social timing. It explores the physiological and behavioral adaptations to social jet lag using advanced measurement techniques.
Organisms and their cells exhibit alternating phases of activity and inactivity that are regulated by internal ~24h (circadian) clocks.
