SocialRES aims to enhance energy democracy by promoting decentralized renewable energy production and social participation. The project focuses on developing innovative strategies and support structures that enable consumers to engage actively in the energy system, fostering social equity and sustainable growth.
Realising an accelerated expansion of renewable energy will require a switch from centralised to decentralised energy production and greater social participation, together known as energy democracy.
