The SOCUPols project focuses on developing novel organo-catalysts for upgrading biomass-derived chemicals like diols and glycerol. These recyclable catalysts aim to enhance sustainability in chemical transformations, enabling efficient production of valuable compounds while minimizing environmental impact.
Cooperative nucleophilic-electrophilic catalysis by ionic liquids (IL) has been recognised as a powerful tool for sustainable chemical transformations.
