The SOLFORPLAS project aims to develop sustainable methods for plastic biodegradation by utilizing specific microorganisms. It combines advanced biological techniques with industrial microbiology to create a comprehensive strategy for addressing plastic pollution, a significant environmental challenge.
Since the 1970s, the mismanagement of plastic waste has been increasingly threatening our health and environment.
