The SOLID project aims to identify genetic suppressors for organelle dysfunctions linked to human diseases, such as metabolic disorders. By developing a new genetic platform, it seeks to uncover therapeutic strategies that target these suppressors instead of the mutations causing the diseases.
The goal of SOLID is the systematic mapping of genetic suppression for important organelles with impaired fidelity in human disease to uncover new strategies to correct the perturbed state.
