This project aims to understand how exposure to success and failure environments can influence the aspirations of children from disadvantaged backgrounds. By applying experimental methods, it seeks to identify ways to enhance aspirations and break the cycle of poverty.
From early childhood, many poor children brought up in segregated communities observe socio-economic failures such as poor living conditions, liquidity constraints, extremely high unemployment and low education levels attained by adults.
