This project focuses on understanding the sorting mechanisms of proteins at the Trans Golgi Network, a critical cellular structure. It investigates the role of actin severing proteins in regulating protein sorting, aiming to reveal new insights into cellular processes.
The Trans Golgi Network (TGN) is the central sorting station for newly synthesised proteins in the cell.
Similar to a postal distributioncenter, incoming cargo is selected, sorted, and packaged to be carried to its final cellular destination by the postman in charge.
