SPADE aims to improve the understanding of climate change impacts by analyzing speleothem records. The project develops new isotopic methods to quantify climate variability and address limitations in current paleoclimate data interpretation.
Understanding and quantifying the impacts of climate change at the regional and hemispheric scales are particularly difficult with respect to changes in rainfall and temperature patterns that lead to extended droughts and flooding events.
