This project aims to enhance the understanding of domestic electricity demand in smart grids by developing localized demand response models. It leverages social science data and expert collaboration to analyze consumption patterns and support effective energy management strategies.
The objective of this proposal is to implement a programme of research and impact activities intended to provide a step change in the level of understanding of, and modelling capacity for, spatially disaggregated temporal domestic electricity demand in a smart grid and demand response context.
This programme will be developed in partnership with internationally recognised experts led by the University of Otago (host) who are pioneering in this field.
