This project focuses on developing a prototype of a new solid oxide fuel cell system that combines exothermic and endothermic processes for improved efficiency. Designed for small-scale applications, it aims to achieve high electrical and thermal efficiencies using natural gas and biogas.
The aim of the project is to develop a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) prototype of a new SOFC concept with a serial connection of one exothermic CPOx stage with one or a multiple of endothermic steam reforming stages.
The system will combine the benefits of the simple and robust CPOx layout with the high efficiencies obtained by the steam reforming process.
