The StaGeDis project develops a new disconnection system for dual-use starter/generator units in aircraft. This system enhances safety and efficiency by allowing the generator to function as both a starter and a generator, addressing the increased electrical power demands of modern aircraft.
StaGeDis will establish new conceptual designs for a dual-use starter/generator disconnect system.New generation aircraft require higher level of electrical power, increasing weight and volume of the electrical machines.
