The STAR project promotes public engagement with science by bringing researchers into the community through events in Trieste. It focuses on making science accessible and enjoyable, particularly for younger audiences, while fostering ongoing collaborations with schools.
With 3.5 % of the total workforce composed by researchers, Trieste is appropriately known as a “City of Science” and its network of excellence of universities and national and international research organizations is referred to as the “Trieste System”.
