This project investigates the use of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as a treatment for chronic neuropsychiatric disorders in children, such as ADHD and Autism. It aims to establish the safety and efficacy of tDCS while developing personalized treatment options.
Due to lack of targeted interventions, compliance issues, insufficient effect sizes and a high non-responder rate to currently available interventions, there is an urgent need to develop innovative and new interventions for chronic paediatric neuropsychiatric disorders, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
