The project focuses on developing a novel thermal energy storage system using ceramic foam structures made from redox oxide materials. This approach aims to enhance the efficiency of solar heat storage by integrating advanced porous ceramics with existing solar reactor technologies.
ThermoChemical Storage (TCS) involves the exploitation of the heat effects of reversible chemical reactions for the “storage” of solar heat.
