This project aims to study the distribution of dark matter in the Milky Way by analyzing stellar tidal streams. It seeks to quantify the abundance of dark matter clumps and improve understanding of its role in galaxy formation through observational campaigns and simulations.
The two main characteristics of Dark Matter are its puzzling ubiquity and its omnipotent evasiveness.
To create galaxies, stars and planets, we need Cold Dark Matter to enhance minuscule primordial density fluctuations and provide seeds for the ordinary matter to cluster around.
