This project addresses antibiotic resistance in Streptococcus pneumoniae, a significant pathogen responsible for various infections. By investigating the mechanisms of beta-lactam resistance, the research aims to improve understanding of bacterial growth and develop strategies to combat resistant strains.
The widespread emergence of acquired resistance to antibiotics constitutes a serious threat to global public health.
