SUBSLIDE develops an advanced model to simulate submarine landslides, focusing on the interactions between saturated sediments, seawater, and offshore structures. Utilizing the Material Point Method, it aims to improve understanding of landslide mechanisms and assess their impact on offshore designs.
Due to significant expansion of offshore structures in Europe, estimating potential submarine slides is important for the safe design of offshore structures so that they can withstand the impact of landslides.
