The SUNRISE project aims to develop underwater communication networks to support sustainable ocean management. It focuses on creating a marine Internet using intelligent sensors and actuators to enhance data collection and coordination in marine environments.
We must learn to both sustainably exploit & protect our vast oceans, provider of oxygen, food, hydrocarbons & other resources. A solution lies in sensing & interacting through an Internet of Things, with distributed networks of intelligent sensors & actuators.
