This project aims to develop a new type of topological insulator in graphene to enable robust quantum computing. By engineering the quantum Hall phase, it seeks to create hybrid systems that can manipulate Majorana and parafermion excitations for stable quantum bits.
In recent years, a considerable stream of work from the condensed matter community has been focusing on hybrid systems coupling superconductors to various topological states of matter.
