The project explores superradiance, a quantum phenomenon where a group of emitters produces coherent radiation. It aims to demonstrate this effect in semiconductor nanostructures, focusing on donor-bound excitons to achieve intense, short light pulses.
Superradiance (SR) refers to spontaneous quantum phase transition, in which a self-organized build up of coherent radiation within an ensemble of quasi-degenerate emitters occurs.
