The SURFACE project investigates human interactions with landscapes in Palaeolithic Arabia using archaeological and geomorphological methods. By analyzing surface artefacts, it aims to enhance understanding of early human dispersals and their environmental contexts.
SURFACE is an international, trans-disciplinary action combining approaches from archaeology, geomorphology and remote sensing to develop novel approaches to the analysis of the distribution of surface artefacts in arid landscapes.
