This project examines the legacy of slavery in West Africa and its global implications. It focuses on the contemporary experiences of individuals of slave descent and analyzes the ongoing issues of marginality and exploitation in various regions affected by trafficking.
Though the colonial abolition of West African slavery and slave trade is well researched, the aftermath of slavery still deserves attention.
