This project explores the symbiotic relationships between legumes and microbial partners that enhance nutrient uptake. It aims to understand the signaling pathways involved in these interactions to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability through better crop management.
The availability of nitrogen and phosphate are the major limitations to plant growth and many species of plants have entered symbiotic interactions with microbial partners that aid in the uptake of these nutrients from the surrounding environment.
