This project focuses on creating advanced synthetic polymeric materials with specific properties for applications in various fields like optoelectronics and biotechnology. It aims to develop a new catalytic system for producing well-defined polymers using ring-opening metathesis polymerization.
The new technologies and applications, e.g. in optoelectronics, microelectronics, biotechnology and medicine necessitate accessibility of quite modern synthetic polymeric materials with continuously more sophisticated, well-defined properties and structures.
One of the most challenging tasks in current chemical research is the creation of catalytic system which allows to obtain stereo-regular linear polymers with defined units.
