This project investigates the Allee Effect in ant populations, focusing on how individual cooperation influences survival and growth. By combining theoretical models with experimental studies, it aims to understand the dynamics of both native and invasive ant species.
The work proposed in this project aims at studying for the first time the presence and nature of the Allee Effect (AE) in ants, including native and invasive species, through theoretical and experimental studies.
The AE gather phenomena that enhance the chances of survival and further development of a species as a direct consequence of individual aggregation and cooperation.
