The TANKRETE project aims to enhance the durability and reduce the costs of Thermal Energy Storage tanks used in Concentrating Solar Power systems. By utilizing patented thermal concretes, TANKRETE offers a more stable and cost-effective solution, making CSP technology more competitive in the renewable energy market.
Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) is one of the most promising renewable energies, but its deployment has been negatively affected by its high investment costs.
This fact reduces its competitiveness compared to other alternatives (photovoltaics and wind power).
