The Target-N2O project aims to enhance nitrogen use efficiency and reduce nitrous oxide emissions from dairy farms. By applying nitrification inhibitors in identified emission hotspots, the project seeks to develop effective strategies for sustainable farming practices.
Nitrogen (N) limits primary productivity in most terrestrial ecosystems, which has led to increased use of N fertilisers within farming systems.
