This project investigates how land use changes affect soil microbial diversity and its role in carbon cycling. By analyzing soil from different agricultural practices, the research aims to understand the relationship between microbial communities and soil carbon storage, employing advanced molecular biology techniques.
The need for improved food production for the growing population has led to increase in planet’s arable land cover.
