The TESAAS project develops advanced x-ray detectors for studying antiprotonic atoms, aiming to improve precision in Quantum Electrodynamics measurements. It addresses challenges in antimatter research by creating new detector designs and experimental setups to minimize measurement uncertainties.
The spectroscopy of antiprotonic atoms with the use of next-generation quantum sensing x-ray microcalorimeters has the potential to benchmark Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) effects in strongest electric fields attainable in the lab.
