TexMat aims to tackle textile waste by developing automated collection systems that separate reusable textiles from waste. The project promotes consumer engagement and new business models to enhance textile reuse and support sustainability in the textile sector.
TexMat will develop a decentralized textile collection concept where automated collection units separate reusable textile items from textile waste delivered by the consumer to combat the European textile waste problem and its associated environmental impacts.
