This project explores the economic history of early Rome within the broader context of central Tyrrhenian Italy. It employs archaeological and literary analysis to reconstruct trade, production, and consumption patterns from the 8th to the 4th century BC.
The economic history of early Rome has been mainly investigated as a local phenomenon and often only on thebasis of literary evidence.
