This project aims to analyze the behavior of fishers and fish using advanced tracking technologies. By understanding spatial interactions, it seeks to improve fisheries management and conservation efforts, ultimately contributing to sustainable fishing practices and the protection of marine ecosystems.
Overexploitation of world’s largest fisheries has been ascribed to a poor understanding of the dynamics of fishers.
However, disentangling the basis of fisher behaviour is not trivial and demands sophisticated social-ecological approaches.
